The police have detained at least one of what’s said to be a number of thieves that have been raiding one of the local hotels that was closed in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic.
The force today issued a notice asking that the owner or property manager of the Silver Point Hotel, Silver Sands, Christ Church contact Oistins Police Station.
Starcom Network News has learnt that thieves have been systematically plundering the shuttered property removing furniture and other items.
A man is said to be in custody after being held with what’s described as a truck-load of stolen items.
