The police have a suspect in custody in connection with Saturday’s house fire in the city that has already claimed one life and left a woman and her baby badly injured.

The house at 1st Avenue, Chapman Lane was occupied by 58-year-old Janice Mitchell, her daughter and her one year old granddaughter.

Janice Mitchell who suffered severe burns, died yesterday in hospital while her daughter and the baby remain in critical condition.
