With a church linked yet again to a covid-19 outbreak, two prominent voices in the local religious community are appealing to churches to comply with the covid-19 protocols.
This comes against the background of the announcement by health authorities that a cluster at a St. Michael church is one of the developments that has led to the re-imposition of restrictions, including a night-time curfew.
Chairperson of the Barbados Christian Council, Reverend Dr. Cicely Athill-Horsford, describes this development as disheartening.

Opposition leader Bishop Joseph Atherley tells Starcom Network News he’s worried that some church goers may feel that their faith somehow makes them immune to exposure.
Bishop Atherley warns church leaders not to encourage their congregations in such beliefs.
