The Barbados Met Office reports that convection with the tropical wave located near 300 miles or 480 km to our east has continued to weaken overnight.
It adds that any development of this system is now very unlikely at this time as environmental conditions around the system are becoming less conducive for tropical cyclone development.
The latest update also states that the system will continue to influence the weather conditions across Barbados and the southern Windwards during the next few days. As a result, there is a possibility of some convective shower activity near and around Barbados over the next few days.
The met office states that this is the final information statement it will be issuing for this system.
Meantime it reminds the public that this will be a very active season, not only for tropical cyclones but also for significant rainfall events so the public should stay alert for updates throughout the season and be prepared.
