A minibus has been ordered off the road for a week as the COVID-19 Monitoring Unit commenced its promised crackdown on the PSV sector which it accused of being among the least compliant with the covid-19 protocols.
Last week the PSV owners and operators were officially warned in writing about the need to comply with the protocols such as mask-wearing for operators and passengers.
Head of the unit Ronald Chapman tells Starcom Network News that it was not an idle threat.
Action was taken this morning.
