The Barbados Chamber of Commerce is warning of further job cuts in the retail sector as businesses fight to keep their heads above water.

President, Trisha Tannis tells Starcom Network News that some companies are still grappling with closures, and those which have re-opened, are suffering from a lack of revenue.

Last week there were reports of staff cuts across a range of categories at the Massy Stores.   

Mrs. Tannis says the retail sector is still at the beginning of a long road to recovery but accepts that the job losses will have a social impact.
