A homeless man suffered burns when the abandoned property he had taken shelter in at Mason Hall Street in the city was destroyed in a fire today.
Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Henderson Patrick, briefed Starcom Network News at the scene.
The injured homeless man, Carl Belle, as he awaited the arrival of an ambulance, told Starcom Network News that his clothes caught fire as he tried to extinguish the flames.
A representative of City MP, Corey Lane was at the scene to see what assistance could be offered to the elderly man.
