Barbados’ Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley has told global health officials of the need for developing countries to have better access to life-saving pharmaceuticals.
She also sees the need for greater investment in developing antibiotics due to the threat of bacterial resistance to those currently available.
Ms Mottley who is co-chair of the One Health Global Initiative, was delivering an address at the World Climate Action High Level Meeting on Health in the United Arab Emirates.
