A number of people have been injured in a collision between two Transport Board buses that were transporting about seventy people, mostly school students.

The accident occurred around 9am.

Five ambulances responded to the mass casualty as well as personnel from the Fire Service, Defense Force and the Department of Emergency Management.

He’s concerned about the inability to exit the electric buses when an emergency occurs.

Communications Specialist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Shane Sealy reports that six people were transported to the Accident and Emergency Department including one of the bus drivers and a 15 year old girl who suffered an asthma attack.
