The Ministry of Health confirms an increase in the covid-19 positivity rate even as a spike in general respiratory illness subsides.
Senior Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Leslie Rollock, tells Starcom Network News there appeared to be an outbreak of respiratory illness in March but more recently the percentage testing positive for covid-19 has climbed.
Dr. Rollock urges the public to take precautions to protect themselves and others.

Meantime, the President of the Barbados Pharmaceutical Society, Yolan Pantin, is advising anyone who is experiencing respiratory challenges to seek medical attention.
