Complaining of being overworked and under-staffed workers at the Harbour Depot of the Schools Meals Department went on strike this morning.

They are now backon the job after staging the work stoppage over a number of issues including a shortage of staff and vehicles.

General Secretary of the National Union of Public Workers, Richard Greene, met with the school meals staff and education officials.

He says education officials have agreed to address the workers’ concerns.
