The Queen Elizabeth Hospital has reported that operations at Harrison Point were affected by yesterday’s cyber security threat.
The hospital disclosed in a statement that due to the lack of internet and systems access at the hospital, the following temporary changes will take effect from today:
- New prescriptions issued in the outpatient clinics and the A&E will be facilitated at the Polyclinics, and not the QEH pharmacy.
- The hospital will be unable to facilitate patients requests via emails for home delivery of medications on December 12th or 13th. Further instructions will follow.
- Outpatient clinics remain open, however there may be delays.
- The department remains open to the public, but delays may be experienced.
- Appointments for CT scans, ultrasounds and x-rays scheduled for December 14th are postponed, however, patients will be contacted with new dates.
