Cyber Breach Affects Harrison’s Point

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital has reported that operations at Harrison Point were affected by yesterday’s cyber security threat.

The hospital disclosed in a statement that due to the lack of internet and systems access at the hospital, the following temporary changes will take effect from today:

  • New prescriptions issued in the outpatient clinics and the A&E will be facilitated at the Polyclinics, and not the QEH pharmacy.
  • The hospital will be unable to facilitate patients requests via emails for home delivery of medications on December 12th or 13th. Further instructions will follow.
  • Outpatient clinics remain open, however there may be delays.
  • The department remains open to the public, but delays may be experienced.
  • Appointments for CT scans, ultrasounds and x-rays scheduled for December 14th are postponed, however, patients will be contacted with new dates.
