The Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association says it is elated with the government’s decision to remove the mask mandate and to remove all covid-19 travel protocols, effective midnight last night.
This reaction follows Acting Prime Minister Santia Bradshaw’s announcement during a media conference at Illaro Court last evening.
Ms. Bradshaw revealed however that mask-wearing would remain mandatory in places where medical and dental services are provided, and prisons, among others.

She notes that this change should also provide a boost as the Association looks forward to the upcoming winter tourist season.

President of BCCI Anthony Branker also believes that tourism is likely to strive because of the recent changes.
