Investigations into the recent escape of five female wards of the Government Industrial School, have concluded that there is no evidence of abuse from the staff at the institution.

This was disclosed by Chairperson of the GIS, Reverend Dr. Lucille Baird at a news briefing this morning.

Dr. Baird also stated that investigation found that there was bullying within the residence.

But she says the Board has intervened and the matter is under control.

Also speaking at the news briefing, Minister of Home Affairs and Information, Wilfred Abrahams provided an update on the investigations into the alleged abuse of a 14 year-old ward in March of last year.

Mr. Abrahams stated after thorough of investigations there was no evidence of abuse.
