Management of the Grantley Adams International Airport say there will be a slow but steady resumption of commercial airline traffic following yesterday’s first commercial flight since the shutdown.

Daily intra-regional flights are also resuming but flights from the US are likely to pushed back due to the upsurge in cases there.

Chief Executive Officer of the Grantley Adams International Airport Incorporated, Hadley Bourne, tells Starcom Network News that the extensive protocols put in place yesterday worked very well in screening arrivals.

He reports a higher than expected ratio of those arriving on the Air Canada Flight had been pre-tested for COVID-19 as advised.

Mr. Bourne reports the air carriers are starting to resume their schedules, including Caribbean Airlines which starts flights today as well as the LIAT replacement One Caribbean Airlines.
