Uprooted Utility Pole Falls on Two Vehicles

A utility pole crashed down on two vehicles at the Pine, St. Michael today after a passing Sanitation Service Authority truck hooked overhead lines and pulled them and the pole down.

An elderly man who was sitting in one of the vehicles narrowly escaped serious injury when the pole landed on top of his van.

82-year-old Gerald “Seaman” Hunte was about to exit his vehicle when the incident occurred.
