A man has been hospitalized with multiple gunshot injuries after a shooting at Windward St. Philip.

Police say the incident occurred at around about 4:30 yesterday morning.

Reports indicate the victim was walking through a track after leaving King George the Fifth Memorial Park, when he was approached by a man who shot him and ran away.

The victim ran to Congo Road where he received assistance and was subsequently transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.

The victim who resides at Union, St. Philip was shot three times.
