Classes resumed at the Frederick Smith Secondary School this morning with parents welcoming the promise of improved security at the institution where a student was allegedly assaulted last week.
Classes were suspended last Friday while the school staff and their union representatives met with officials over the incident and the security situation at the school generally.
A man remains in police custody over the matter.
Some of the parents spoke to Starcom Network News this morning as they dropped off their children at the school in St. James.
They also offered some suggestions.
