Armed Robbers Strike Twice

A forty-one year old man was shot in what neighbours say was an attempted robbery at Chapel Gap, St. Barnabas, St. Michael yesterday.

When Starcom Network News visited the area, the victim’s father, Lebert Anderson confirmed that his son was shot, and was hospitalized.

The police say the robbers escaped in a car while the victim was taken to hospital in a private vehicle.

Meantime, the police also say that around 1:30 pm yesterday, two armed men robbed a man of jewelry and escaped in a vehicle at Paradise Village, St. George.

The victim, who did not want to be identified, recounted the events to Starcom Network News, including his lucky escape when the gun appeared to jam as the robbers seemed to be trying to shoot him.

One of them then snatched a gold chain from around his neck.

The incident happened in front of the victim’s home.
