The Minister responsible for Crime Prevention is calling for stricter security measures to prevent weapons from being brought into schools.
Speaking to Starcom Network News, Corey Lane addressed recent incidents of school fights involving weapons in the past week.
He revealed an initiative to assist school children that will be in collaboration with a Non-Governmental Organization.

Principal of the Deighton Griffith Secondary School, Major Michael Boyce, has reiterated that contrary to reports on social media, there was no stabbing or shooting at the school yesterday.
In a statement released last night, Major Boyce clarified the incidents that occurred at the school.
Major Boyce also explained that there is a deliberate focus on discipline and excellence at the school.

Meanwhile, Chief Education Officer, Dr. Ramona Archer-Bradshaw, has condemned the recent violent acts among school children.
Ms. Archer-Bradshaw also called for support from parents.
