The government will in a matter of weeks begin a process to identify and assist a thousand of this country’s most needy families.

This was announced by the Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs Kirk Humphrey on the sidelines of the launch of a Clean and Green project at “Dalkeith Woods” at the Grotto, Beckles Road St. Michael.

Mr. Humphrey says eligible families will be contacted to determine who will qualify to get assistance.

Mr. Humphrey dismissed criticism of the structure of the program.
