Former Barbados Finance Minister Chris Sinckler is to shortly take up a major overseas appointment.
Usually reliable sources tell Starcom Network News that Mr. Sinckler has been appointed from May 1st to a very senior post with a major international financial organisation.
The appointment is said to be for two years.
Mr. Sinckler had been named in 2020 to Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley’s jobs and investment council set up to help chart the way forward for the Barbados economy.
He has a Masters of Science degree in International Trade Policy and has served as Executive Coordinator of the Caribbean Policy Development Center.
In September 2010 he assumed the post of Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs in the Freundel Stuart administration.
When contacted by Starcom Network News today Mr. Sinckler declined comment on the reported new posting.
