Barbados is pressing ahead with plans to be a regional logistics and trade hub, including for gold, and also plans to expand its welcome stamp initiative.
And it’s expected that contacts and collaborations established during the current visit to the United Arab Emirates by top Barbados government officials will assist in this.
The plans were outlined by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley this morning when the Barbados delegation met with key leaders of the Dubai Free Zone which is described as the world leader in that business.
Miss Mottley highlighted what she sees as the opportunity for Barbados to facilitate gold exchange.
