Against the background of a spate of residential burglaries the police are appealing to the public to pay more attention to their home security.

Police Crime Prevention Officer, acting Inspector Stephen Griffith , is urging home owners to not keep large amounts of cash in their houses.

Starcom Network News own investigations revealed that almost $20,000 in cash was stolen from a home during a recent burglary.

Inspector Griffith is worried  about this trend.
