Labour unions unhappy about Senate omission

President of the Congress of Trade Unions and Staff Associations of Barbados, Edwin O’Neal,  says he’s extremely disappointed that for the first time in thirty years there is no one in the senate to represent the voice of labor.

Newly appointed general secretary of the National Union of Public Workers, Richard Greene, voiced similar concerns.

He also describes the absence of a union representative in the upper chamber as disappointing and indicated the union will be finding other ways to insure its voice is heard.
