Two men have died in separate freak accidents, one this morning and another this afternoon.

The latest incident occurred about 2pm at Thornbury Hill, Christ Church, where a man died at the scene after a vehicle under which he was lying collapsed on his body.

Police at the Oistins Station received a call stating that a motor van had fallen on a man who was carrying out repairs on the vehicle.

A medical doctor visited the scene and pronounced the man dead.

Meantime, a 54 year old coconut vendor has died in a freak accident while picking coconut in St. Thomas this morning.

The police have identified the deceased as Stephan Marshall of Quakers Road, Belmont Road, St. Michael.
