Early results in the 2022 general elections in Barbados are pointing to another resounding victory by the incumbent Barbados Labour Party.

The first set of boxes from the constituency of St. John a traditional Democratic Labour Party strong hold and one of the seats polls indicated the DLP might regain, now indicate the Barbados Labour Party may very well hold onto the seat.

UWI political scientist Dr. Kristina Hinds says she’s surprised by the results in St. John so far.

Starcom election night panellists David Ellis and Sade Jemmott also commented on the trend.
