The public warned against holding Christmas gatherings
As the Christmas holiday approaches head of the covid-19 monitoring unit Ronald Chapman warns the public that family gatherings are still banned and urges strict compliance with the protocols, including avoiding crowds as much as possible given the highly infectious nature of the Delta and Omicron variants.
Two new covid-19 deaths
Barbados has recorded two more covid-19 fatalities. A 51-year-old vaccinated woman died yesterday at the Harrison’s Point Isolation Facility. Additionally, a 61-year-old man, who was unvaccinated, passed away at the Harrison’s Point Isolation Facility today. A total of 234 people have died here from COVID-19.
Omicron border alert, no travel ban
