With over seven hundred people now in isolation across the island and resources stretched in the national fight against covid-19, Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, says although Cuban nurses are expected to leave Barbados shortly, Government is seeking to recruit more.
Ms. Mottley said during the Covid press conference this afternoon that Government is also looking also looking to the diaspora for assistance.
Ms. Mottley announced that retired Station Manager of Starcom Network Incorporated, Broadcaster David Ellis has been appointed the new COVID Public Advisor.
She made the announcement at a Covid 19 press conference earlier this afternoon.
Mr. Ellis says in his new position he will seek to minimize public hesitancy in the fight against covid.
