A man was killed on the spot and two other people injured, one seriously, in a head on collision on the Ronald Mapp Highway early this morning.
The accident occured about 4 am along the Bennetts Road stretch of the Ronald Mapp Highway which is also referred to as Highway 2A, about 500 metres north of Bagatelle Great House.
Dead is 37 year old Michael McClean of 1st Avenue, Rockley, Christ Church. He was the sole occupant of XA 3379, a blue Toyota corolla.
That car collided head on with S 6300, a blue BMW driven by former West Indies cricketer and chairman of selectors Courtney Browne and in which his wife Tricia Browne was a passenger.
The couple had to be freed from the vehicle by fire officers using the jaws of life.
Mr. Browne suffered multiple fractures to both legs while Mrs. Browne complained of chest pains.
They were transported to hospital in two ambulances.
