Canadian-owned Scotiabank which has scaled back its operations elsewhere in the Caribbean says it’s staying put in Barbados.
This amidst reports that Canadian Banks may be looking to pull out of this region.
Addressing a cocktail reception last evening at the Sandy Lane Country Club, Scotiabank’s Senior Vice President of International Banking, Brendan King, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to Barbados.
He also defends the commercial bank fees in the face of growing complaints from customers.
