pharmacies report increase customers seeking medication amidst outbreak of viral illness

Some pharmacies are reporting a significant increase in customers seeking medication amidst an outbreak of viral illness.

Bandele Serrano, the proprietor of Avis Pharmacy and a former President of the Barbados Pharmaceutical Society, tells Starcom Network News, the trend started about two weeks ago.

Meantime, Everton Lashley of Roundhay Pharmacy says they have seen a large increase in customers seeking relief, especially this week.

Mr. Lashley is urging people with severe symptoms that persist to see a doctor.
