New system for granting liquor licenses

Minister of Commerce, Dwight Sutherland, has announced that the law governing liquor licences will be repealed and a new system put in place that will cut the approval process from months to days.

He was speaking this morning at a national stake-holders consultation on the new liquor license regime.

He also outlined a new system for obtaining liquor licenses that he says will be much quicker.
