Barbados police commissioner Tyrone Griffith reports progress in stemming a spate of gun violence that saw Barbados recording a record 32 murders for the year so far, most of them by the gun.
Commissioner Griffith was speaking this morning following a ceremony where 22 members of the special beach patrol unit were presented with new uniform compliments the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association.
Commissioner Griffith also noted a decline in crimes against visitors and attributed that to what he felt was the hard work of the beach patrol unit.
