Barbados to give up its shares in LIAT to Antigua and Barbuda

Prime Minister Mia Mottley has announced that the Barbados Government will be transferring its shares in LIAT to Antigua and Barbuda.

Ms. Mottley revealed in the House of Assembly tonight that she has accepted the Antigua and Barbuda Government’s offer to transfer a significant portion of its 49 per cent stake in LIAT, and Government will be entering negotiations with the twin island state shortly.

She said the Barbados negotiation team will be headed by Attorney General Dale Marshall.
