Police are investigating an attempted kidnapping last night.
Acting Police Public Relations Officer, Station Sargeant Michael Blackman says lawmen responded to a report at Fort George Heights, St. Michael, where Shri Rabilall, reported the alarm to his mother’s home had been activated sometime between 7:30 pm and 7:45 pm.
He told officers when he went to her residence about 8:20 pm, his 60-year-old mother Radha Rabilall and her Mitsubishi Lancer were missing.
The police spokesman says Ms Rabilall was seen later around 9 p.m. along Pine East-West Boulevard, where she reported that she had been taken from her home and placed in the trunk of her car by a masked man, dressed in dark clothing and carrying a gun.
The culprit requested her ATM card and pin number, and a sum of money was taken from her account.
Investigations are continuing.
