The Labour Minister says the layoff process in central government is complete but will continue at some state enterprises.

Labour Minister Colin Jordan has reported to Parliament that the layoff process in central government is complete but will continue at some state enterprises. He also cautions the country that the economic recovery and transformation program remains a work in progress and he urges the trade unions against what he calls brinksmanship.

He was speaking as the House debated amendments to the Employment Rights Act.
