QEH to Reduce Waiting Lists
Chief Executive Officer of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Dr Dexter James says the Hospital is planning to improve the quality of service at the hospital in a number of ways this year, including by reducing waiting lists and waiting times in the Accident and Emergency Department.
Republic Bank: Lower Interest Rates on Savings Benefits Customers
Managing Director and CEO of Republic Bank Barbados Limited, Ian De Souza, says the lowering of interest rates on savings by commercial banks has been beneficial to customers, as his bank has been able to reduce the rates on mortgages and other loan services.

Opposition Members of Parliament are standing in solidarity with their leader, Mia Mottley, following Tuesday’s incident in the House of Assembly. Speaking at a news conference today, the Opposition spoke out against the Speaker of the House of Assembly’s ruling that Ms Mottley’s contribution to the debate on the Holidays with Pay Bill was irrelevant. Ms Mottley had mentioned some of the island’s economic challenges during the debate.
