Church leaders have deemed as a success a meeting today with Prime Minister Mottley, the health minister, the attorney general and other key health and government officials over compliance with covid-19 protocols in light of covid-19 clusters at some churches.
The zoom meeting started at 11 am and included the Barbados Christian Council, the Barbados Evangelical Association and the Muslim community.
Chair of the Barbados Christian Council, Reverend Dr. Cicely Athill-Horsford, tells Starcom Network News, many in the faith-based community came away from the meeting united with government in encouraging the public to get vaccinated and will be making their churches available as vaccination centres.
