The Queen Elizabeth Hospital has restricted visits as covid-19 cases here spike and has also set up tents to help accommodate an expected increase in arrivals at its Accident and Emergency Department, which is already seeing a spike in patients with covid symptoms.
Speaking on VOB’s Brasstacks program, the QEH’s Director of Medical Services Dr. Clive Cave confirmed that the delta variant surge has resulted in increased arrivals at the QEH.
Meantime, Nurse Monique Edwards who is in charge of bed management at the QEH explained the restricting of visiting hours.
