Well-known businessman Elias Haloute has passed away.

The arcade owner and real estate developer was also one of the shareholders in the Chefette Restaurant chain.

He is reported to have died at his Christ Church home early this morning after ailing for some time.

Mr. Haloute was the Chairman of the Board of Playfair Investments and was developer and Director of Adams Castle Development Incorporated.

He was also a race horse owner.
