The Barbados Agricultural Society is calling on government to scrutinize some food processors which it alleges are importing pork and poultry and providing unfair competition for local producers.

CEO James Paul, at news conference this morning, called on food retailers to give priority to local producers.

He also accuses some companies of trying to use loop holes to the disadvantage of local farmers.
