Unemployment claims continue to climb due to the covid-19 pandemic and Education Minister, Santia Bradshaw has disclosed that they are now in excess of 70,000 such filings.
She was speaking this on Wednesday during the National Non-Government Organisations consultation seminar, themed The Impact of NGOs During COVID-19 and Beyond.
Meantime, President of the Barbados Alliance to End Homelessness Kemar Saffrey says the NGOs want a seat in the Social Partnership.
