Police have confirmed that a 30-year-old man who was shot last night has died.

Jamar was rushed to surgery after being shot while walking through a track in the area of Odessa McClean Road, My Lord’s Hill, St Michael.

Police said the victim was shot twice, in the back and chest, around 9:30 p.m.

When police arrived on the scene, they found the injured man, who was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

It was later disclosed that he passed away around 8:30am this morning
