The ongoing construction of the Digital Innovation and Health Tech Hub at Newton Christ Church is part of a larger project to ensure Barbados moves away from high levels of consumerism and closer to innovation and production.

Minister of Industry, Innovation, Science and Technology Marsha Caddle says unless the island goes in this direction it will be difficult to attain the right value for products and services on the international market.

She explained the vision behind the mega structure that has caught the curiosity of Barbadians.
