A Jamaican national will appear before a District A Magistrate, charged with the murder of Shane Parris as well as several drug offenses.
38-year-old Luston Watson who resides at Heddings St. Phillip is accused of killing Parris on January 13th.
Police say Parris was standing on the road at Nursery number 2 Four Roads St. Phillip when a vehicle pulled up and a man exited the car and opened fire.
He died on the spot.
Watson was also charged with possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply cannabis, and trafficking in cannabis
Today, he is expected to appear before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes at the District A Magistrate Court.
Meantime a 34-year-old Beckles Road St. Michael man has been remanded on gun and ammunition charges.
Officers of the Serious Organized Crime Unit arrested and charged Tremaine Hinds with 2 counts of possession of a firearm and also possession of ammunition on December 8th.
He appeared before Magistrate Alison Burke at the District A Traffic Court yesterday, and he was remanded to Dodds Prison. He is expected to reappear in court on January 10th.
