A group of concerned Barbadians has been granted a hearing before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights regarding the Cybercrime Bill.

The group, which includes citizens who are resident here as well as in the diaspora, believes that the bill threatens freedom of expression and other democratic rights.

Speaking this morning during a news briefing concerned citizen Marcia Weekes stressed the importance of the hearing.
