Shots were fired in a police operation at Silver Hill, Christ Church in the early hours of this morning and Starcom Network News understands at least one man was held and firearms recovered.
Residents believe the police may have intercepted gunmen intent on exacting vengeance for the brazen murder of a man in that general area yesterday, at least that’s the speculation.
They tell Starcom Network News that they believe the individual held by police is a man who had openly made threats on social media.
We have of course disguised the voice of this resident to conceal their identity given the circumstances.
When we interviewed other residents of the area, they too spoke of hearing gunshots sometime after midnight and of seeing the police take at least one man into custody.
