The Barbados government has announced a cricket development scholarship for University of the West Indies, UWI, students who are interested in studying the science of the game.
This was revealed by Minister in the office of the Prime Minister responsible for culture Senator Dr Shantal Munro-Knight as she addressed scores of people who participated in this year’s Emancipation Day celebrations.
Senator Dr. Munro-Knight stressed the importance of honoring this country’s sporting greats, such as Sir Frank Worrell.

She also announced plans for a film project to highlight the efforts of Barbados’ finest cricketers.
